Hubert slammed the front door of his home as he entered. Alarmed at the sudden impact, Marcella glanced up from the book she was reading to look askance at her husband. I've been there before as you should realize," Marcella said, half in jest, as she viewed her husband with compassion. "No, I'm only angry at myself. I thought-and perhaps my pride got in the way-that I was well versed in history; However, today my students stumped me with their questions. It happened in the second class this afternoon that Cynthia Harvard asked a leading question. She placed me in a quandary with her question of why the political scenario is so shaky these days." Hubert took pride in his knowledge of mankind's history, and this was why he had been upset. His egotism had been challenged by a question for which he had no answer. This particular class was a challenge to teach, for it was a clever class with a broad knowledge of current events.
